Our name — Aparmita — is a Sanskrit word meaning "immeasurable" or "boundless." It reflects the infinite resonance of a well-made singing bowl, and the limitless potential for healing that sound can carry.

Every Aparmita bowl is made by hand in the Kathmandu Valley — the historic epicentre of singing bowl craft in Nepal. Our artisan partners work in small family workshops, using techniques that have not changed in centuries.

The process can take many hours of focused work. Metal is heated, shaped, and hammered in careful sequences. The artisans' ears are as important as their hands — they listen to the bowl throughout the process, adjusting until the sound is right.

A portion of every sale goes directly back to the artisan families and their communities in Nepal.
