Return & Refund Policy

1. Overview

At Aparmita, every singing bowl is handcrafted with care and tested before it leaves our workshop in Kathmandu, Nepal. We take great pride in the quality of our products and want every customer to be fully satisfied with their purchase.

If for any reason you are not happy with your order, we are here to help. Please read the following policy carefully to understand your options.

 

2. Eligibility for Returns

We accept return requests under the following conditions:

        The return request is made within 30 days of the delivery date

        The item is in its original, unused condition

        The item is returned in its original packaging, including any cushion, mallet, or accessories included with the bowl

        Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is provided

 

Items that do not meet these conditions may not be eligible for a full refund. Please contact us before returning any item so we can guide you through the process.

 

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

        Items that have been used, played, or show signs of wear

        Items damaged due to mishandling, improper use, or accidents after delivery

        Items purchased during a sale, promotional event, or marked as final sale at the time of purchase

        Items returned without prior approval from our team

 

4. How to Initiate a Return

To begin a return, please follow these steps:

        Contact us via the contact form at aparmita.com or email us directly with your order number and reason for return

        Include clear photographs of the item, especially if it arrived damaged or is not as described

        Wait for confirmation and instructions from our team before shipping anything back — unauthorised returns may not be accepted

        Once your return is approved, securely package the item and ship it to the address provided by our team

 

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is confirmed to be defective or incorrect. We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.

 

5. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of the outcome within 5 business days.

        Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 7 to 10 business days

        Shipping fees paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error

        Partial refunds may be issued at our discretion for items returned in a condition that does not fully meet our return criteria

 

Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider. If you have not received your refund after 10 business days, please contact us and we will follow up on your behalf.

 

6. Damaged or Incorrect Items

We carefully pack every order to ensure it arrives safely. However, if your item arrives damaged or you receive the wrong product, please:

        Contact us within 7 days of receiving the order

        Provide your order number and clear photographs showing the damage or incorrect item

        Do not discard any packaging, as it may be required for the claim process

 

Depending on the circumstances, we will offer one of the following resolutions:

        A full replacement of the item at no additional cost

        A full refund including original shipping fees

 

We will always do our best to make things right as quickly as possible.

 

7. Exchanges

We are happy to offer exchanges where possible. If you would like to exchange your item for a different bowl or product, please contact us within 30 days of delivery.

        Exchanges are subject to product availability

        The original item must be returned in unused, original condition before the exchange is processed

        Any difference in price between the original and exchange item will be charged or refunded accordingly

        Return shipping for exchanges is the responsibility of the customer

 

8. International Orders

As all orders are shipped directly from Kathmandu, Nepal, international customers should be aware of the following:

        Import duties, customs fees, and taxes imposed by the destination country are the sole responsibility of the customer

        These charges are not included in our product prices or shipping fees and cannot be refunded

        For international returns, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs and any associated customs declarations

        We recommend marking international return shipments clearly as 'Returned Goods' to avoid additional import duties at the Nepal end

 

If your order is held or delayed by customs, please contact us and we will do our best to assist with any documentation required.
