These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of aparmita.com (the "Site") and your purchase of products from Aparmita, operated by Aparmita Nepal Pvt. Ltd., Kathmandu, Nepal ("Aparmita," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Every Aparmita product is handcrafted in Nepal. Because our singing bowls and instruments are made and finished by hand, each piece is unique: weight, tone, surface finish, patina, and dimensions vary naturally between items, including items sold under the same product name. Product photographs show representative examples. These variations are inherent to handcrafted and antique goods and are not defects.
For antique items, age-related surface character — patina, wear marks, and minor irregularities — is part of the item's authenticity and history.
When you place an order, you make an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order, including where a product is unavailable, where pricing or product information contained an error, or where we suspect fraud. Your order is accepted when we send you an order confirmation email. If we cannot fulfil your order, we will refund any payment taken in full.
Prices are displayed in the currency you select on the Site and are confirmed at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but changes do not affect orders already confirmed.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Your card details are handled directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers. Payment is taken at the time of order.
We ship worldwide from Kathmandu, Nepal, primarily via DHL Express. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and typically range from 5–7 business days to North America and Europe after dispatch. Delivery estimates are made in good faith but are not guaranteed, as transit times depend on carriers and customs processing.
Customs, duties, and import taxes: International shipments may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs fees levied by the destination country. These charges are the buyer's responsibility and are not included in our prices or shipping charges. Customs policies vary by country; please check with your local customs office before ordering if you are unsure.
Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery of the goods to the address you provided. Please ensure your shipping address is complete and accurate — we are not responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect address information.
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery, subject to the following conditions:
To start a return, email info@aparmita.org with your order number. Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund to the original payment method within 10 business days. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Damaged or defective items: If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographs of the item and packaging. We will arrange a replacement, repair, or full refund — including shipping — at no cost to you.
Custom and made-to-order items are produced to your specifications. Once production has begun, custom orders cannot be cancelled or returned except where the item arrives damaged or materially differs from the agreed specification. Production and delivery timelines for custom work are estimates and will be communicated during the inquiry process.
Our products are sold as musical instruments, meditation aids, and decorative objects. Any references to sound healing, wellness, or meditation practices describe traditional and cultural uses. They are not medical claims, and our products are not medical devices. Nothing on this Site is a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
By submitting a review or other content to the Site, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and reproduce that content in connection with our business. You confirm that your content is your own, is accurate, and is not unlawful, misleading, or offensive. We may moderate, edit for length, or remove user content at our discretion.
All content on this Site — including text, photographs, product descriptions, audio recordings, graphics, and branding — is the property of Aparmita Nepal Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aparmita's total liability arising from or relating to any order or use of the Site is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of profit or loss of enjoyment. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights in your country of residence.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal, except where the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Changes apply to orders placed after the date of the change.
