APARMITA tuning the frequency

Hand Pan

Handpans are melodic steel instruments played with the hands — two shells fused into a UFO-like form, with a central note surrounded by a ring of tuned tone fields. Each strike blooms into soft, harp-like harmonics, which is why handpans anchor so many modern sound baths and acoustic performances. The handpans Aparmita carries are selected for accurate tuning and even voicing across all notes. They reward both meditative noodling and serious rhythmic play, and pair beautifully with the sustained drone of a large singing bowl.
